Kaye Herron Art 1

Kaye Herron Art 2

Kaye was born and grew up in Heber City, Utah. She and her husband, Kenneth, have been married 53 years. They have three children, seven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

The Herrons moved to Overton in 1969, and Kaye really enjoys life in Moapa Valley. She worked at the Overton Branch of Valley Bank for seven years. Then she opened a small retail women’s clothing store, “The Clothes Tree.” Later she worked for Moapa Valley Telephone Company for 16 years and retired in 1999.

She enjoys lots of friends, activities and events here in Moapa Valley. She is a member of the local chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She also enjoys making quilts and other items for her church’s humanitarian aid projects, and sewing for her family and friends.

In 2008 her good friend and member of the Moapa Valley Art Guild, Joyce Jones, invited her to come paint with her. She provided Kaye with watercolor supplies and lots of instruction. Kaye then began attending Art Guild sessions with Joyce, and is having a lot of fun learning to paint. She also loves seeing the work of the other artists in the Guild. She hopes to associate with, and continue to learn from them for many years.
